Our layers live their lives out on pasture during the growing season, are moved on to fresh grass every day, and fed organic grain. They eat bugs, worms and anything else they can find as they scratch and pick through the grass. During the winter they live in our hoop house on deep bedding. We never give them any antibiotics or hormones. The result are eggs that are nutrient dense with higher in vitamin A, E, and omega-3s, lower in cholesterol and saturated fat, as well as contain significantly more vitamin D than conventional eggs.
