|Pastured Eggs, Nest Run (Leaping Bear Farm)|
Our layers live their lives out on pasture during the growing season, are moved daily on to fresh grass, and fed organic grain. They eat bugs, worms and anything else they can find as they scratch and pick through the grass. During the winter they live in our hoop house on deep bedding. We never give them hormones. The result is eggs that are nutrient dense with higher in vitamin A, E, and omega-3s, lower in cholesterol and saturated fat, as well as contain significantly more vitamin D than conventional eggs.
